The Company

Robosan: simplifying diagnostics with digital innovation

Robosan is an Italian startup that develops automated solutions for the medical sector. The company focuses on the pre-analytical phase of diagnostics—the stage that precedes laboratory tests: management, tracking, sanitization, and packaging of test tubes.

Robosan’s identity is strongly technology-driven, but with a vision oriented toward accessibility, it chose to adopt a 3D configurator for the healthcare sector: a digital tool designed to simplify complexity, both for the user and for those communicating innovation.

 

The challenge

Transforming a technical system into an intuitive and functional 3D configurator

The client approached us with the need to make a highly technical product configurable and digital, and to integrate it into a 3D platform compatible with the Robosan system.

Robosan’s products operate “behind the scenes” of the analysis process, making it faster and safer: explaining all of this, especially to those unfamiliar with automated diagnostics, was the first challenge we had to address.

The deeper challenge, however, concerned the B2B component of the system: the configurator needed to evolve into a generator of complex quotations, not just a visual tool.

The solution

A single 3D platform to configure, sell, and simplify the B2B process

We developed an integrated 3D platform for Robosan.

The three-dimensional representation allows users to explore the machinery in detail, making the process clear and engaging.
The configurator is a 3D experience that reacts in real time to customer choices, building tailored quotations.
The system, designed for B2B, manages complex commercial logic: operational leasing, installment plans, quantities, accessories, and discounts. Once the configuration is complete, it automatically generates a technical bill of materials containing all components required for production.
In the case of multiple orders, the modules are aggregated into a unified output, ready to be sent to the supplier.
With separate access for customers and sales representatives, the platform guides configuration, manages subscriptions, and simplifies every stage of the process.

A single digital space where 3D technology has transformed a product into an effective and immediate commercial experience, aligned with the client’s identity.

Features

The machine can be composed by choosing between a complete Robosan system or individual modules such as Roboscan. The configurator guides the user step by step, simplifying decisions and generating a detailed output.

The platform differentiates the user experience: customers can configure and submit requests, while sales representatives have access to dashboards with contract history, reports on leased machines, and tools to support negotiations.

For each order request, the system automatically generates a technical sheet containing all components. If the order includes multiple machines, the output aggregates the modules and returns a consolidated technical document ready to be sent to suppliers.

Together with Cosmo Studio Design we produced a video that the client requested for trade shows and investor pitches.

Using our 3D configurator, we created a digital environment showcasing the product’s potential across all its stages.
